So I found out my sister has a boyfriend…and she’s only 13. I had a “boyfriend” when I was her age and all things considered it was not a good choice. I don’t think she is mature enough to be in a relationship. I can easily see her getting hurt, and I don’t want that. When I was her age I didn’t have anyone older than me to get advice from so I want to be there for her so she doesn’t make the same mistakes I did. I talked to her about it today, not letting on that I already knew she had a boyfriend. She promised me she didn’t have a boyfriend and says she would tell me before she told anyone else. I warned her if our parents found out she would be in a lot of trouble. When they found out I had a before when I was her age I was grounded for 2 months and closely monitored until my freshman year of highschool, when they finally started trusting me more. I hope the same thing doesn’t happen to her.
